So, it’s almost here ! My first Photoshop World and made extra special by going as the UK NAPP Evangelist AND it’s also the first CS5 PSW to boot (I only wish I had CS5).
The lead up to this event has been an enjoyable experience, through Twitter and Facebook I have made some great connections with NAPP members who are going (and some who are not) and I look forward to meeting them all in person, obviously including the NAPP guys and gals.
I arrive in Vegas on Tuesday 31st August about 9.30am so I have a nice day to get ready (no pre-cons booked) and then meet a few new faces at the TweetUp in the evening.
I’m still chopping and changing my PSW class schedule on Shawn Welch’s brilliant PSW iPhone App, so many good classes clash, it’s a shame I have to miss some good ones but that’s the thing with Photoshop, there are no bad classes !
I have purchased the Speed Pass and Pro Pass so I am hot to trot ! Hopefully I’ll also snag a Midnite Madness ticket as that looks to be great fun and will be attending the party at the House of Blues on the Wednesday night – looking forward to seeing Big Electric Cat.
Then there’s the ACP Pro HDR Photowalk in old Vegas on the Wednesday evening with Brian Matiash, my trip to the newly renovated Vegas Neon boneyard on the Friday and finishing off the whole trip with a visit to the Grand Canyon armed with all new photography knowledge to take some great shots in that super hot desert sun [gulp].
As far as I am concerned I have hit the jackpot with this trip:
– Meet great new people
– Learn tons of stuff, both Photoshop and Photography
– Visit some new cool places
– Blag some great discounts at the expo
– Come away armed with brilliant memories, contacts & photos
I’ll be posting updates on here, apologies in advance if you get bored of me going on about it but I want to chronicle this adventure for myself and hopefully to give UK NAPP members a taste of what to expect from an overseas visit to Photoshop World.
Thanks for listening.
Dave
